Flour City Theatre Company - call for work Deadline: August 1, 2009 Description: flour city theatre company
is currently accepting submissions for our September 2009 production, “Rochester Stories.” It’s the 175th anniversary of our fair city and we want to join in on the celebrations!
Whether you live in the Rochester area or not, we are looking for stories set in, or are about, Rochester, New York. Think George Eastman and Kodak, Frederick Douglass, The Flower City, Abolitionists, the Underground Railroad, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Mount Hope Cemetery, Susan B. Anthony, Red Hots, and Rochester Red Wings, to name a few.
Submit by August 1, 2009:
~ for playwrights: short plays 5 - 8 minutes; plays longer than 8 pages will not be read. All submissions should be sent via email.
~ for choreographers, composers, musicians, photographers, painters, performance artists and filmmakers: submit a specific work for consideration on DVD, VHS, CD or link to a YouTube site.
