|CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
for the Fourth Festival of Shorts!
B3 Theater of Phoenix, Arizona, seeks scripts for their Fourth Festival of Shorts! The Festival will be held in June/July of 2021. The Shorts will be fully rehearsed shows, whether they take place live or virtually.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS DECEMBER 15, 2020.
The shortlisted scripts will be judged in performance by the audience, and the winning scriptwriter(s) will receive $50!
The subject matter is open, although preference will be given to experimental and progressive works. There should be minimal setting, prop, and costume requirements. All genres welcome, including monologues, with the exception of musicals.
Entries should be 5-15 pages, including the title and cast page.
One entry per playwright, please.
Previous productions are okay.
Please refrain from sending material previously submitted to B3.
International submissions are welcome, but the text must be in English.
Please scrub your submission of your name and personal information. Include that information in the body of your email, along with the title of the play.
Please put the following in the subject line of your email: Submission: the name of your play.
The format may be docx or pdf.
There is no fee with this contest.
Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM AZ time, December 15, 2020.
Entries will be capped at 200. Please check our website at http://www.b3theater.com for a notice of when the cap has been reached.
