| I'm a new member (introduced myself a few threads back) and put in only the bare minimum information when I first registered. I've tried to update, add information such as where I'm from etc., but haven't been able to get into my profile to edit it. Is there a simple way to do this that is eluding my Ludditic side?

Martin,
When you sign in go to "My Account" near upper left side of page. Click on it and then click on "Profile." You will be able to change/add there. Should you want to add a photo, click on "Avatar" on the "My Account" page.
