Funny that...I had just done my...oh, three times a day check. It's very easy to spot members that aren't people the least bit interested in plays.
I just deleted three...one being the one you mentioned. It's hard to explain, but they automatically sign up and hope to get someone to their site, unfortunately, like you.
I bet Edd does it at least three times a day, and Paul does as well. It's quite a chore to keep on top of it.
The best method to be sure, is to see if that member has made a post. Except for maybe...not sure.. on one ocassion, the ones we delete never make a post.
So sorry you went there. Another clue is no one uses ICQ anymore, so check their profile. If there is too much info, and esp nothing to do with playwriting and stuff for free, or the ICQ is filled in, just don't go.

Well, Paddy and edd and Paul are terrific at keeping this site free of idiots or as Sean O'Casey says "eejits." But he best thing you can do is what I do: when you find some eejit, report it to them Obviously some slip by. I forget how many Paul said register everyday. it is amazing. So, Paddy, edd and Paul do a yeoman's and godlike job of keeping them away.
Paddy gives good advice. Heed it. I go to know site that is suspicious in any way shape or form. It it ain't 'bout playwriting - fuggedabout it.
Welcome again.
By the way, the NY Giants won in one of the greatest Super Bowls ever. Only saw the last quarter as I was attending "Shining city" at the Goodman Theatre. I have my priorities in line!

Yep. I actually remove several every hour. In fact, that is the single-most task I do and keeps me busy all day. Between Paddy, Paul and myself we probably zap dozens every day (and night). Fear not, they don't last long. We need what is called CAPCHA. That's where you're required to copy a series of letters and numbers in order to register. Most of the spammers we get are robots.

So thank you very much the three of you. My husband is a bit depressed because his team didn't win and I said to him , well you put a JINX on them because most years you don't last the whole game and you go to bed and check it out on yer blackberry and this year he took over the TV room............. serves him right.
My team although I don't have a vote is "SUPER TUESDAY" just can't wait...Best Reality TV I've seen in years, should be up for an award. Speaking of rewards. I'm off to Boston College on Tuesday night to hear my professor that I helped with research for some five years, read from his new book.........Ireland's Magdalen Laundries & the Nations Architucture of Containment, to which I received a "CREDIT" sort of an Award. In-it?

My team is Super Tuesday too. I just discovered that here in Colorado we have a caucus. I've never been to a caucus and I'm pretty excited about the idea of interacting and fighting for my candidate. So I can't wait to go--all those folks have no idea what they're in for! :>)

I'm still relatively new to this forum, so I wasn't previously aware of the malicious bots or just how many of them there are. But thanks to you for the seek and destroy mission!

I got no sleep last night trying to keep up with "Bill-ary" I'm going around today like a Zombie.
Did you go to the caucus or where you snow in?. I heard your part of the US of A had two feet of snow. I heard it on the NPR also a friend is heading down there tonight for a week of skiing.

I know Bere Island very well. a friend has a house (beautiful) in Baltimore west Cork and we stay there quite a lot. I also have a big daughter who lives in Killarney. If you ever want to go to Ireland give me a shout we have a Gate Lodge (250 years old) in North Tipperary. I'm renovating right now.
Is yer Granny still there?.

Jeeze, if my Granny was still there, she'd be 118.
Three grandparents were born there, Belfast, Cork City and Bere Island, and they all moved to England - where my parents and siblings were born, and I was made only in Canada.
And you have no idea how badly I want to go...I cry when I see how beautiful it is...and, so you know...I'm a girl, and it's okay that I cry that easily.
I'm thinking if I go, I'll have to change my name.
Here's the fun bit...chances are, at the helm on the ferry you took over to Bere Island, was my second cousin's husband. They live in the Ferry Lodge...which I always call Faeire Lodge. I actually wrote a play about 1916 Easter Rising...well, after it.
There's some scoop.
Keep posting, it's fun.

Yes, it did snow, but not two feet--just enough to make us not want to leave the house. Also, I've been an unwavering Clinton supporter and the last few days leading up to the caucus I started to waver and began to lean toward Obama. So I was totally uncertain last evening and the thought of getting in a room with a bunch of strangers and arguing about whom to vote for really made me want to stay home and cozy up with Keith Olbermann.

That's right, Edd. It's a scenario being played out everywhere. The more the campaign goes on, the more people realize they don't want any more dynasties and WHAM!!! the Clintons lose another vote.
Wheeee! You should have gone to caucus, though. Shame shame shame Sir!
I can't wait until March 4th. It's my birthday and I get to vote in the TX primary on the same day! Woohooooo!
