We're a small, adventurous theatre company based in London with eight productions behind us and exciting times ahead!
It occured to me today to find a forum like this as I'm very keen to touch base with 'leftfield' or alternative-leaning writers who walk on the wild side and who'd be grateful to have a theatre company like us reading their works and discussing them -hopefully with a view to staging.
I'm looking ahead to next year when we will be offered slots and would love the chance to stage new voices who may not otherwise get the chance.
I'm the Artistic Director, but my writing partner, William, is also very much responsible for the day-to-day running. We have an inbuilt team of actors, designers and have just talen on a PR person.
next year also sees the possibility of becoming the resident company at a major venue.
So, I hope to get to know a few of you over the next months and hopefully read some exciting plays!
You'll find a great many talented playwrights here from beginning to emerging to professional--all living under one roof. Come in, get comfortable, feel at home and get to know us.
Well -Sick Minds looks perfectly up our street! any play that could potentially scare theatres away must be worth a read and consideration!
Without giving too much away we are looking set to be based at a new fabulous venue in Central London that has a history of alternative arts and music. We at SST want to reposition ourselves accordingly (I started my teen years into punk/new wave etc, so the leap is more like a short hop!).
