* Winning Play will be produced at Repertorio Español.
* Top Five will receive cash awards.

Knutsford Little Theatre is pleased to announce a Short Play Festival featuring new and unpublished works each lasting up to ten minutes. The festival will take place at the theatre on October 3rd and 4th 2008. DEADLINE: JUNE 13, 2008
Knutsford Little Theatre is a thriving community theatre in the northwest of England. For more than 80 years our patrons have enjoyed a variety of both classic and popular contemporary dramas, comedies and pantomimes. We have a 100 seat auditorium, a large stage and top class sound and lighting equipment. Entries are invited for our festival which will have all the benefits of our excellent facilities and talented membership.
Please read the following conditions carefully.
Entries must be received by Friday June 13th
Entries will be accepted by post or by email as either Microsoft Word documents or PDF files.
All entries must be accompanied by a cover page which details the title of the piece, a props and furniture list, the estimated running time and the writer's name, address and email.
The writer's name must not be replicated anywhere on the script.
All entries must be the writer’s own work and free of copyright.
No payments will be made to any writer or other individual involved in the event.
Writers who have work selected will be offered two free tickets to see their work performed and a DVD recording of the evening.
Entries should last between one and ten minutes.
A maximum cast of six per entry (made up of up to 3 men and 5 women)
Entries are invited on any subject.
An independent reading panel will make selections based on quality, variety and suitability for a KLT audience.
The reading panel will complete their selection by 31st July and successful writers will be notified during August.
Performances will take the form of rehearsed readings with script in hand, therefore stage directions, props and settings must be minimal.
