"Theater 150 in Ojai, California, invites submissions of short scary plays for Halloween
We’re interested in truly chilling, tension-filled, plays with strong stories that will give our audiences a good scare. We’re not looking for spoof, camp, gore or torture
We are especially interested in plays based on locally known Ojai myths, ghost stories or legends such as Char Man, the Choking Ghost or the Black Dog (These are easily found with a Google search. Char Man even has his own Wikipedia entry.)
•Previous publication and/or productions okay.
•Type: 10-minute or one-act plays.
•No more than 6 characters, simple set and limited technical demands.
•Must be on 3-hole paper bound with brads and presented in standard manuscript format.
•Include author bio, character descriptions and short synopsis.
•Include SASE if you would like the play returned.
