Impact Theatre (Berkeley, CA; http://www.impacttheatre.com) is seeking comic
ten minute plays for our ninth Impact Briefs festival. This year's
theme is PUBERTY. $50 flat fee paid for performance rights for each
play we choose. No submission fees-- ever. No limit on how many plays
you can submit. All plays MUST be submitted via email. Hardcopy plays
will be recycled unread. Submission deadline: 8AM November 1. Email
submissions to melissa@impacttheatre.com. Due to the volume of
submissions you will only be contacted if we're interested in staging
your play. Please check out the following guidelines before submitting.
1. Is my play unpublished?
2. Has my play never had a full production in the San Francisco Bay Area?
3. Is my play able to be performed by an ensemble of 3 men and 3 women?
4. Is my set simple and easy to strike, seeing as there will be at least
6 of these performed in one night?
5. Is my play in some way, even loosely and if you look at it from a
distance with one eye closed, based on the theme of puberty?
6. Is my play comic?
7. Is my play approximately 10 minutes long?
If your answers to all 7 questions are "YES," then by all means email
your play to melissa@impacttheatre.com before 8AM November 1. Please
note: Due to the volume of submissions, no resumes, cover letters, or
other support docs will be saved or read. Please ensure that your
contact information is on the play-- your original emails will not be saved.

Edd,thanks so much for posting this.
Every year I submit and every year my plays don't make it but I'm not giving up. I think I have one that might work for them this time.

I don't have anything to submit. I'd write something, but I don't remember puberty. I'm not even sure if I ever had it. :(
