I love Paddy's challenges, they are so inspirational. So here we have a short play in Japanese and English. Actually it's three plays. If you can only read English that is one, if you can only read Japanese that is another. If you happen to be able read both you will notice that there is some unwitting interaction and co-incidences in what is being said.
It's very short, I knocked it up in my lunch hour, but I would be interested to know what people think. Is it worth expanding this to a longer piece?

An Onsen. Yukihiro is in the water. Mike is about to enter. He is wearing swimming trunks.
とある泉にて。幸博がお湯に温来浸かっている。マイクがそこに入ってる。マ イクは水着を着ている。
Toaru Onsen nite. Yumihiro ga oyuni tsukatte iru. Mike ga sokoni haitte kuru. Mike wa mizugi wo kiteiru.
YUKIHIRO 水脱ー着いで先にシャワを浴びてくださいよ 。 Mizugi nuide sakini shawa wo abite kudasaiyo
MIKE It’s OK. I know it’s gonna be hot. I got warned. (He jumps in 込飛びむ Tobikomu)
YUKIHIRO おいおい oioi
MIKE Jesus. How do you guys stand this?
YUKIHIRO 掲無作読法だな。注意の示をまなかったのか ？ Busahou dana. chuui no keij wo omanakattanoka?
MIKE Don’t worry, don’t worry. I’ll get used to it.
YUKIHIRO 掲示は英語でもドイツ語でもフランス語でも書いてある。どこ かで見たはずだ。 Keiji wa eigo demo furansugo demo doitsugo demo kaitearu. dokokade mita
MIKE It’s OK if you keep still isn’t it?
YUKIHIRO ーこれじゃ俺の方が湯船から出たらシャワ浴 なったじゃないか。 Koreja, oreno houga yubune kara detara, shawa wo abinaito ikenaku natta janaika
MIKE I do like to immerse myself in the local traditions when I’m on holiday. Ha! Immerse, get it?
YUKIHIRO 声大ーでしゃべるなよ。ルルを守れ 。 Oogoe de jaberuna yo. ruuru wo mamore
MIKE Immerse. It’s a joke. Oh never mind.
YUKIHIRO 寛俺殴が容な人間でお前助かってるぞ。人によっちゃもうられ ていると思え。 Orega kanyouna ningen de, omae tasukatte iruzo. Hito ni yocha, mou nagurarete iruto omoe.
MIKE My God. You guys have got to learn to lighten up.
YUKIHIRO ーなぜルルが守れない。？理解できないのか？それとも他人の 事など知ったこっちゃないのか？ Naze ruuru ga mamorenai? Rikai dekinai noka? Soretomo, tanin no kotonado shitta kocha nainoka?
MIKE What’s the matter with you? I know this bathing business is part of your culture but you can still have a laugh can’t you?
YUKIHIRO 傲慢な奴だな、お前は。世界中誰だろうと西洋人と同じように 行動すべきだと思ってるんだろう。 Gouman na yatudana,omaewa. Sekaijuu dare darouto, seiyoujin to onajiyou ni koudou subekida to omotte irundarou.
MIKE Jesus. You try to be friendly and they just turn on you.
YUKIHIRO こう言う場所は断日本人以外おりにすべきだ。お前みたいな奴を排除するためにだけでもな。 kouiu basyo wa nihonjin igai okotowari ni subekida. Omae mitaina yatsu wo haijo suru tame nimo na.
MIKE Look. There’s a lot of history between our nations, right? Don’t get me started.
YUKIHIRO 観こ国の腐れ光客め。お前自分のの顔に泥を塗ってるぞ 。 Kono kusare kankoukyaku me. Omae jibun no kuni no kao ni dowo wo nutte iruzo.
MIKE Listen. Who do you think you are speaking to? Barking orders at me! What makes you think you have the right?
YUKIHIRO 来もう我慢できない。俺はリラックスするためにここへたん だ。 Mou gaman dekinai. Ore wa rirakkusu suru tameni koko e kitanda.
MIKE To think that I came in here for a break.
YUKIHIRO (Picks up his towel and gets out of the water) もうたくさんだ！（とタオルを取って湯船の中で立ち上がる） Mou takusan da! (to taoru wo totte yubune kara deru)
MIKE Oh Christ. You’re not even wearing trunks. I hope you had a wash before you got in.
YUKIHIRO (Throws a bottle of liquid soap to Mike) お前のせいで湯が汚れただ変ろ。これじゃ宿は湯をえなきゃならん。おまえさんだけいい思いしてろよ。ー（ーボディシャンプをマイクに投げ つ ける） Omaeno seide, yu ga yogoreta daro. Koreja yado wa yu wo kaenakya naran. Omaesan dake ii omoi shiteroyo (bodhi shampuu wo Mike ni nagetsukeru)
MIKE Ah, that’s more like it. Cheers. (He lathers his underarms)(ーボーディシャンプを泡立てて脇の下を洗う ） Bodhi shampuu wo awadatete, waki no shita wo arau)

Nice. Don't even really have to know what he's barking, it translates.
Three plays. That's inspiring.
