Another Chicago Theatre Company (ACTC) is producing a new round of The Last Play Standing and this is how it works; you submit the 2 best scenes of your script (play or screenplay). We select 25 scripts without reading them - first come, first serve. Each scene will be cold read and directed sight unseen before a live audience which will then provide instant, concise constructive feedback which includes a scoring system. The top scoring 5 plays get a full reading in front of a live audience, 2 of these will get a full staged reading!
ACTC will provide a cash award currently in the amount of $200 to any Chicago theater company that produces winning play or The Last Play Standing as determined by the audience from the staged reading within the following year!
