Saw "God of Carnage", by Yasmina Reza in London this week - with an excellent translation by Christopher Hampton. One act for one and a half, seamless, simmering non stop hours. It was hilarious, but as Yasmina says, she writes very serious plays. In the end, the humour was so strong and the ending so bleak you weren't sure which way to go! Not one word was superfluous. Tight and tense. Fantastic cast too.
