I have a play about a cookoff in a church. I was thinking of writing the synopsis as a recipe. Is that even kosher?

Synopses would be more fun to write if they could be a bit different from the norm.

Just a thought.

That sounds like an AWESOME idea to me!

I love the play The Art of Dining....mostly because the back 14 plus pages of the script are recipes :)

I think a synopsis like that would stand out.

I have problems with writing synopsis (synopsi? synopsisses? ;) as well... I'm sure there's plenty of advice in the past discussions...

Try reading some menu's... Maybe a "food description" would be in the right ballpark.

This is a great idea. It is not just telling the story, it is how youtell the story. When you have a chance like this, do it like this.

I try whenever I write a synopsis to set it in the tone and style of the way the play is written. But, here you have an obvious opening. Do it.

ok, i am totally going to do it. i actually wrote a version of it already but it suck, suck, sucks.  I need to read some recipes to see how to write it. it's just wierd to write about characters as ingredients.

but fun. wierd but fun.

i'll post it when i feel like it's better.
