Got word from Hella Fish Festival in Philly one of my short plays was a finalist.

Since they were upfront in their guidelines with "Special consideration is given to playwrights in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey" I don't feel as disappointed it did not get selected.

They missed out!

 Update:

The Artistic Director actually sent me a "Condolence Letter!" Thought my play was one of the best submitted, and said he fought hard for it. But, there are other theatres involved in this particular Festival and I guess it is a democratic kind of vote as to what gets selected.

Anyway, he was very kind to do that. Never actually got a "Condolence Letter" on a submission before. He does have a good sense of humor, One can tell. He said if there is anything I want to submit in the future just to query him.

He was very kind. Wish more theatres were like that. I was quite touched.

 Congratulations! That artistic director is interested in your work. You say you wish more theatres were like that, but actually, what it means is that you wrote a good script.
