Re (Basil) that's the problem. Not a word from any of them in my play for the past two days. Not one word. Don't know what's the matter with them. All just went quiet.

Nellie doesn't want to tell her story of how she came into the world, it was the night of the big wind and all she ever heard from her mother was the big wind and the famine and I think she doesn't want to go there. Her father died that night and now she's remembering and I can't get her to talk.

Potabasil,
Thank you so much for posting this beautiful song link. I have liked that song a LOT since Josh Groban sang it but this version is SO much nicer than his! It's so moving...Thanks!

It's just a feeling I have about this website, it's done so much for me since I found it. All the great support I get especially from Paddy and My Master EDD and all of you, I went and found this song just to say thanks.

Potabasil,
I feel the same way about this site, though I have not posted as much as I'd like. As you know, I've been a playwriting machine these past few months. I will be posting part of my new play here at the site for critique very soon. Watch for it!

Raise Me Up, that's what they do. It's very lonely here trying to write a play with two five year olds and two cats (one of which I've just thrown off the keyboard) hanging out of me all day, but as they say in Ireland "Offer It Up"
Potabasil
ps. don't know how you do it, two plays in a few months. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

Potabasil,
I finished 2 plays since September by getting a summons from a local theatre looking for new plays. The summons came through an actress friend of mine. It is handy to have actor friends sometimes. Anyway, I wanted to send that theatre something, so I sat down and finished two plays. (These are plays I had sitting in a drawer for YEARS. They needed LOTS of re-writing. But I did it!) When I get something in my head that I want to do, I do it! I don't have a "day job" so I have lots of time to write, for which I am extremely grateful. I am married to someone who has a good day job, so I don't have to worry about starving to write. I am lucky there, I admit. Get your play written! I want to read some of it on the critique board, and I will post some of mine there soon too.

Thanks Singsational for all the advise. I do have a lot of it written but it's gone and spanned itself from 1839 to 1861 and ends in 1900.
I do have huge conversations with the hubby when he comes home at night, well the other day he came home and asked me what's going on and I said to him, "They" have not said a word all day, not a bloody word.
Paddy is given me advise but still not a word.
And by the bye, I do have actor friends (two in NY) and loads in Dublin, Ireland The whole of Dublin is waiting for the reading, (so is Broadway LOL) so I'm putting off my next trip. But I'm due there by the end of March , April at the latest (sans babies and hubby)
So no need to reply to this one, you have a play to write.
