Edd's posting of production and publishing opportunities are a great addition to the forum. However, I think it would be nice to have each opportunity as a separate sub-topic within the “Playwrights' Noticeboard” section. That way, members could post their reaction to each opportunity. For example, members could post whether they have had good or bad experiences with a particular theatre, or, if they have found additional information about the theatre, or opportunity not originally listed in the first post.
This comes to mind because of a recent call for scripts from the "The Festival Group" posted in the Playwrights' Noticeboard (AUG./SEPT. DEADLINES) section. I Googled the name of the theatre, and the only hits I got were from other postings of the same call for scripts. The theatre has no website, and is not mentioned anywhere else on the net. I thought I was post a query asking if anyone else had ever heard of, or, worked with this theatre. But, to do that, I’d have to start a new topic. It would be nice to post that question in the same thread as the original opportunity.
What do you think?

I think your suggestion is one that would serve our community well. However, it would complicate and spread out information so as to service the few willing to plow through all the information. The very best way to deal with this, as I see it, is to send me a personal email at: edd@edwardcrosbywells.com and tell me your experiences with different companies calling for submissions and I will incorporate the information into the listing itself. I'll highlight it in a different color so as to bring attention to it. This would certainly help our members to make informed decisions and will keep all information easily accessable. Thank you for caring about our other members. I see more and more of that around here - perhaps an example for the world at large. So let me know what you know and I'll be glad to share it. Thanks.

Excellent solution, Edd.
I agree....having lots of them on one page is preferable.
Also...I can't count how many of my best friends I had been warned about earlier.
One person's bad experience, may not equate to someone else's.
