I suppose you're already working on this, Paul, but I just wanted to point out that the new forum design doesn't gel with the walnut of the banner and the chalk background.
It matters not a whit in the interaction of us oldies but I think it jars when newcomers drop in.
I'm sure WowBB has the werewithal to integrate the colour of the forum with its background.
Just thought I'd add to your woes,
Deepak

Stageplays.com uses the same palette, style, header and background color throughout the site
It's designed and optimised for Microsoft Explorer, as used by 93% of our visitors
If you're seeing such odd colors - walnut & chalk - then my guess is you're using a different browser or else there's a problem with your graphics card

No Paul, that's not what I mean.
I've checked the forum in IE too and posts, post editor, etc. show in shades of blue, while the header (with ole Shakey) and the background of the page are in shades of brown.
So there's a background of shades of brown with a central focus on shades of blue.
In other words, brown and blue are showing on the same page and that jars.
And no, it's not my graphics card. I've checked the forum from other computers too. All show shades of blue on shades of brown.

There's only one background color and that's a pale cream - #FFEFD9 to be precise
The top banner is dark red - #80000 - and we very much like the designer's choice of dark blue directly beneath
We did a lot of testing etc and you're the first person not to like it (and the first to see walnut and chalk!)
Whatever, like it or not, these are the basic colors of stageplays.com

i don't mean to horn in on deepak's trying to explain, but here i go anyway . . .
the basic colours of stageplays has not changed. the dark red/brownish with the cream/tan/light brownish and the dark blue accent. the change is in the new forum that is laid over the original colours. the new forum has white for the body text areas, with a very light blue surrounding it. this, i think, is what messes with deepak's aesthetics (and a little with mine too, but i wasn't bother enough to say anything).
the base colours of stageplays is actually quite nice. the light blue and stark white of the new forum make the site very, very bright and difficult to read for long periods.
does that help? if not, just ignore me.

Yes!
Now the forum looks like it is part of the site and not something placed on top of it.
Fantastic job, Paul.
