You say that to your mind it ought to be something like "etc., etc., etc." The Stage is a very popular thread and being used by many. The man who owns this forum and bought, paid, designed and maintains it, was of a different mind. One only needs to read what the section is for. If you feel strongly that you cannot adjust to it, contact the owner and administrator, Paul Thain. In truth, had I designed this forum I might have called it ETC, ETC, or THIS & THAT or any number of things including THE STAGE. Personally, I'd like the names of many things changed. Wars have been fought over words. People have died over words. Many have and still suffer the pain caused by words. Young gay boys and girls, men and women, have committed suicide over names at an alarming rate. I would like to change words like "queer" and "faggot" to "good" and "humane," but you know as well as I that they won't change a thing in the minds of many. C'mon. Go with the flow. It’s not really going to change anything. Host a Green Room seminar. Use The Stage to take a poll to see how many agree with you. If a majority does, then we’ll see what happens. Start a contest of your own. Enter my contest and win really neat prizes of Theatre books that I will mail to you. Perhaps you could challenge other members to playwrighing exercises. Critique some of the work of others. Allow others to critique some of your work. Share ideas with others. Get involved and have some fun. What’s in a name? A rose by any . . .
