I'd put some of the more, er, 'evocative' moments in the piece here, but out of
context, they're a little scary.

Done extensive revisions, and tweaks - new page count is 135..
Here's the blurb off the title page:
“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the
oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are
neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.” -Archbishop Desmond Tutu
This Play was written, for the mice.
------------
The Play is loosely based on a true story. It should be stressed that that all events
detailed, occur on a daily basis in South Africa.
SYNOPSIS
Amidst the daily power cuts, rising crime and violence, and increasing political
uncertainty of modern South Africa today, a typical South African family has made the
decision to leave their country forever. Each of them is conflicted in different ways
over the imminent departure.
To add to their concerns, a young American student is coming to stay with them for a
few days as a house guest, and the family need to put a brave face on their
situation.
But Fate has other plans for all of them, as they come face to face with the
unrelenting ferocity of modern South Africa, in all of its contradictions, bitterness, and
violence.
The play unfolds in three Acts - a Night, a Morning, and the following Night.
