My first feature-length screenplay, A HABITABLE WORLD, just won a playwriting award that basically covers my non-rent expenses for the next 10+ months. Yay!
(It's the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation/Tisch School of the Arts, NYU Writing Grant for screenplays about scientists.)
A HABITABLE WORLD, should anyone care, is about the world's first serious attempt at manned space flight -- in seventeenth-century Oxford. (Yes, really. Google "Cromwell's moonshot: the Jacobean Space Program" to find out more.)
No plans for this to be *filmed* yet. It takes place in Oxford, in buildings that mostly still exist as was. Any interest, contact me at upstart_crow2@yahoo.com .
