Hi. I'm new to the forum. Someone told me I should come here and list my reading. Now that I see what this is I'll be coming back often. Here's the info:
Monday Nov. 5, 7 PM, FREE
Crossroads Theatre
2590 Washington St
Denver CO
SYNOPSIS: The Bride's Side of the family is the focus as Philip and Rosie Newman lead a caravan of their adult children (and one errant lover) to the wedding of their grand daughter. On the way, cars are driven, pipes are smoked, trousers are dropped, and butterflies are released; but nothing erodes the enthusiasm of the bride's side for life, for family and for each other - even the secrets they spill as the bride and groom unwittingly cut the cake.
My web page has more info: http://www.amanandamouse.com/bride/bride.html
all the best,

Michael,
I don't know how you slipped through our software and were able to post without being a registered member, which is required in order to post. However, I am not deleting your post since I am aware of your being a member of the Playwrights' Binge group and that your reading is here in Denver which scores points with me (too bad about the Rockies).
Please register and you can continue to post without fear of my making your posts disappear.
I won't be able to make your reading on the 5th, but I wish you all the best including laughter, bravos and fabulous lighting.

I appreciate your not deleting my post, Edd. But to tell the truth, I've registered 3x, received 3 emails with activation links, and clicked those links 3 times, and was told 3x 'welcome'. Then I try to do something and everytime I am asked to login, which I do using the username/pw and it says wrong username/PW. So I click back and try again. No go. I haven't forgotten the username/PW; the software is just freaking out somehow. I guess in between these freaks I was able to post. I hope this third time it's the charm.
Sorry you won't be able to make it Monday; there'll be wedding cake. ; >

Michael,
You are a member now. Hooray!
Wedding cake? What a great idea. I won't rule out my not being able to make it entirely. I'll do my best to make it. Promise. BUT THERE BETTER BE WEDDING CAKE. :)
Welcome to the forum, Michael.

By jove, I think I'm a member.
There will be cake, Edd, and If you make it, your piece is on me. Monetarily, not literally.

And it's the lady with the cake idea!
Mary, why did I think you lived in Denver and were just visiting LA?
I will give you the scuttlebutt after the reading. I spent the last day rewriting the last fifteen pages and now I have to figure out if I should use them or not.
Playwriting. It's a rotten business. But as Neely O'Hara said after her press agent told her the same thing about show biz - "I know. But I love it."

My reading went off without a hitch. I posted an entry to my blog about the experience (with pix).

Michael,
I am so glad to hear that the reading went well and that you have a bite from PA. Speaking of bites, sorry I missed that wedding cake--and chocolate frosting, yummy! I had another engagement that I could not get out of.

I read your blog about the reading -- how wonderful to have such a big turnout.
And I know it's not just about the cake, though I'm pleased at the thought it might have helped a bit.
Signed,
The Cake Lady
