Hello, friends. I'm writing a play based a C.S. Lewis novel (The Screwtape Letters) and I'm wondering how in the world I go about getting copyright approval. Does anyone here have experience with this sort of thing? Do I contact his book publishers? His estate? If so, how do I get the contact information?

Thanks!

Luana,

I'd start with the publisher since that'll be the easiest to find.  The publisher will direct you in the right direction.  The Screwtape Letters was my introduction to the wonderful world of C. S. Lewis.  (I have a first edition hard cover.)

Good luck.
