Hi all,
I'm a new musical writer & i've wrote one musical & am part way through my second. After searching through the internet I can't seem to find anyone who is willing to accept new material.
So my question is what steps do I take to atleast get noticed?

You need to try and get someone to produce it. That helps greatly!
also, do you have a copy of Dramatist Sourcebook? It will have theatres listed that accept musical scripts.

Get in with a new publisher! Heartland Plays, Inc. is actively soliciting new work. However, musicals must have a complete music package to be considered for publication. A music package included a vocal/piano score, a rehearsal CD (orchestrated with vocals) and a performance/production CD (orchestrated without vocals.) Orchestration is usually synthesized but must be of high quality and sound.

| Heartland Plays is also asking a $10 and $20 "reader's fee" depending on the type of work, a no-no in this forum.

I hope if I keep apologizing for making the wrong decision to charge a reader's fee, that you will forgive me and send me your plays and musicals! Heartland Plays, Inc. has scrapped the reader's fee. We are doing our best to make the changes on our website as quickly as possible. Thanks!
