Anybody have any suggestions for manuscript submission tracking freeware/shareware? This "post-it notes stuck everywhere" method ain't cuttin' it.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
Why not just keep a journal for each play?
Or, you could include a cover letter with each submission and maintain copies of those letters on file.

Something as simple as a spreadsheet could work too: have a tab for each play, columns within each to note the date, theatre company, query or full script, etc.

I second the spreadsheet suggestion. I've gone so far as to put mine on my site. But a simple Excel file will do what you need!

steve,
I just keep mine in a separate folder for each play in Microsoft Word. Then I record the date I get a response of acceptance of the script/or query.
Seems to work out fine. No-brainer compared to the post-it thing. Though I still have enough of those and 3X5 cards strewn here and there!
I also do what Sam Stone talks about - a cover letter for each on file.

Thanks everybody. I think I've known all along that I simply have to get myself organized, but the suggestions are a great way to go. And I'll check out the software length.

Just a quick tip, Steve:
When you view posts you should be able to see an "Edit" button at the top right of each of your own posts.
This forum makes taking back ones words easy :)

Good point...but it's too early for that too. Why is this coffee not working?
