This is an article from The New York Times today about John Updike. Though not known for playwriting, he was a great storyteller and I think the article pertains to any kind of writing.

It is a brief early look at his archives that are at the Harvard Library.

The actual title in the print edition of the Times today was:

"WRITE REWRITE PUBLISH - tweak." Great Headliner!

Loved this article.  Loved the bit about his letters.  Letters we don't send anymore.  We email, then delete.  All those beautiful words, advise whatever, deleted, gone forever.

I'm going to write a letter tomorrow.  Put it in an envelope, with a stamp and post it.
