My netbook has entered the Winter of its years. In the interests of not wanting to deal with it, I'm inheriting my wife's iPad 1, rather than getting a new computer. I'll be getting an external keyboard for it, making it more conducive to writing, and now I'm on the lookout for the shiny new toys to load onto it.
Does anyone else here write on an iPad? Are there playwriting or scriptwriting apps, and if so, are they any good?
I'm a person that writes on my computer in Word, because I like the time it takes to format manually when I am done with a bout of writing, and enjoy re-reading the work as I input the formatting after a few pages.
So I like writing with the Pages app for mac. It is easy to use and convert easily to Word when I send it to my computer.
The other app I like to write with is iA Writer. It is a no-frills writing app that helps to keep the flow going. It also convert easily to Word.
I LOVE reading plays on the iPad. It is very easy to scroll thru text and keep the flow going. I use Evernote for that. FYI - when submitting electronic submissions be sure to consider that many readers are reading on devices like iPad - so format with that as a consideration.
