Hello,
I have written a book for teachers based on two characters that I would like to turn into a 2 act play. If you have any interest in helping me achieve this, please contact me for further discussion.
How big is the book? What is it about? Has it been published? Who is the target audience for the stage version? What is the theme? What is your schedule for completion of the work?
The book is only 80 pages. I think it is a a two act play. It is a conversation between a pre-service student and a university professor. The professor is giving lesson to the student about teaching ..The themes are as follows: Mission, Vision, Expectation,Caring,Commitment,Respect,Observation,Cultural Awareness, Balance, Team-Building, Growth and Knowledge. I wrote it so at some point it would lend itself to a play. My undergrad is Theatre.
It is published by Corwin Press (a education publisher) You can find it on Amazon. I have some flexibility from a time perspective. I would like to produce it by early 2013. You can reach me directly at jvm68@mac.com

Yes, Victor, that could be a two-act play. But it sounds much better as an instructional video than as a play--perhaps a set of 12 short teaching videos--if you can add appealing graphics, animation, things-to-point-at, live examples, action, a good presenter, etc.
Basically, it's a didactic work. Converting it for the stage would give you only a didactic, "talking heads" play--no theatrical elan. A documentary would have twenty+ times the impact of a stage work. More people would see a video: YouTube or other sites would give it huge exposure with relatively little effort, other than producing the master DVD. Or you can post a sample video on your own blog or other interactive website, and market the DVD.
Thanks you for your feedback. I truly think that does make sense and have received that feedback earlier. I will def. consider making 10 short DVD videos.
Once again thanks for your feedback.
