Makes one wonder where a street voice like Kerouac would fit in today. How many writers of value are out there not being recognized unless they're in a desk listening to a former Poet of the Month spew on about following protocol?
Are playwrights in the same boat? Or are there rogues still out there somewhere with an Off Broadway somewhere in their trench coat pocket?
Is our future only accessible with an MFA stamped in the submitted script resume?
