FLUSH INK PRODUCTIONS is announcing a call for plays for its signature event, Asphalt Jungle Shorts XVIII to be performed in the autumn of 2021, and possibly a second show in the spring/summer.
We need plays. Short plays. 1 minute to 5 minutes….if it’s set on the go – outside, up to 10 if it’s set in a bar – 13 minutes if it’s incredible and set in a bar.
This is site-specific theatre.
We’re looking for plays that feel as if the audience is sneaking around downtown, spying on people…those are the ones that work the best…when people aren’t sure if it’s a play or not…and believe me, there’ve been a few that the audience crowded to watch that were not plays.
We like the odd absurd piece, but no period pieces.
No plays set in apartments/condos/houses/front porches. Think of where and how long the audience has to stand to watch your piece.’

In the subject of your email put the name of your play and AJS XVIII
Royalties are $! a minute per performance.
